1. Ask who performs the treatment
In many clinics the consultation is with a doctor and the treatment is delegated. Ask directly whether the physician who assesses you will also treat you, and what their involvement is on the day.
2. Ask what the doctor would decline to do
A practitioner who can articulate which patients they turn away, and why, is applying selection criteria. One who cannot is applying a menu.
3. Ask how a poor outcome is handled
