Understanding how LCLR® works — and what makes it clinically distinct from standard laser treatments — explains why it consistently produces results that conventional devices cannot replicate.

How LCLR® Differs from Standard Laser Treatment

Standard laser treatments deliver energy at a fixed wavelength to a predetermined tissue depth — the depth is determined by the device. LCLR® is physician-operated. Dr. Sin Yong uses precisely calibrated laser energy to target the skin matrix — the structural layer between the dermis and subcutaneous tissue — with specificity that fixed-parameter devices cannot achieve. He controls energy delivery in real time, adjusting based on each patient's tissue response.

Three Simultaneous Mechanisms

Immediate collagen contraction — laser energy at the correct tissue temperature causes existing collagen fibres to contract immediately. Patients observe visible tightening the same day. Collagen neogenesis — the controlled thermal stimulus triggers fibroblast activation and new collagen synthesis over the following 8–12 weeks.
